Doris Mitchell is a potter, specialising in thrown porcelain, whose work will be available at the Harlequin Gallery during December 2001.Doris was initially self-taught but, as a mature student, obtained a BA Honours degree in Ceramic Design at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design. She has previously exhibited her work at the Harlequin Gallery during the summer of 1999 and has also exhibited elsewhere in the UK as well as in Bonn and Heidelberg in Germany. Examples of her work available at the Harlequin Gallery are shown below. All the pots are thrown, some altered, and reduction fired in a gas kiln at 1285 degrees Celsius. |
