To complement the work of the potters in the exhibition will be a selection of new teabowls from the Czech potter, Jiri Duchek.

Jiri’s pottery training began in a ceramic workshop in Prague, the city where he was born, but for the last 12 years he has had his own workshop. Currently situated in the country near to Mutejovice, he produces largely functional wares, using local materials and wood to fire his work, which he sells locally. His teabowls, strongly influenced by Oriental forms, are a relatively new and exciting departure that I hope you will enjoy along with the other work in the exhibition.
