Phil Rogers, who was
born in Since
then Phil's work has developed and his reputation has grown, resulting in
more and more time spent lecturing, demonstrating and exhibiting worldwide.
In 1997-8 he spent several months teaching, making and building kilns in Much
of Phil's work is stoneware either fired in a downdraught reduction kiln or
salt glazed in a smaller kiln. In both cases wood ash and local stones and
clays are extensively used, as the examples below show. Over recent years he
has also added wood-fired work to his repertoire. Phil
has had seven solo exhibitions at the Harlequin Gallery and remains one of
its most popular artists. |
