R.J. Lloyd RI

Reginald Lloyd was born in Hereford in 1926 and lives in Devon. His work is included in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, National Maritime Museum, Tate Britain, Oriel and Exeter Colleges Oxford, the British Embassy Paris, Teignbridge Council, Bruton Art Gallery, Bideford and many private collections nationally and internationally.

Exhibitions include Portrait of the Artist at the Tate Gallery, annual showing with the Royal Institute at the Mall Galleries and a major retrospective at the Hereford City Art Gallery in 1996. As well as a successful exhibition at the Harlequin Gallery in 2001 he also showed at the DFN Gallery Broadway New York in Autumn 2000 as well as elsewhere in the UK.

In the past he illustrated four books of Ted Hughes's poetry and more recently designed and made two stained glass windows for the millennium - All Hallows Church Tillington, West Sussex and for a private house on Exmoor.

Reg has had 4 solo exhibitions at the Harlequin, the last being in 2008 and it is hoped to be able to continue our co-operation in the future.
