Alan Wallwork
1st to 29th July 2007
|
|
Alan Wallwork was born in
Hertfordshire and is now living in France but the early part of his career
was spent in S.E. London. Alan studied at Goldsmith’s College in the mid
1950s before opening his first studio and gallery in Forest Hill. From there
he moved to Greenwich before leaving London for Dorset in 1966. However, for
several years after that he kept a presence in Greenwich, letting out his
studio complex in Blackheath Road to a number of different potters.
The
pots in the exhibition, “A London Eye”, date from the Greenwich period.
