Mixed Christmas Exhibition

24th November to 24th December 2000
(Please note that the gallery is closed from 4 p.m. on Sunday 24th December until 11 a.m. on Thursday 4th January 2001)

 

As is usual at Christmas, the Harlequin Gallery will be showing a mixture of both old and new work, including a showcase of teapots and drinking vessels.
The teapots will range from a large earthenware example by Clive Bowen, through various stoneware teapots to a porcelain example from Derek Emms. Along side these will be both yunomis and mugs of various vintages.


An elephant teapot by Terry Bell-Hughes, included in the showcase of teapots and drinking vessels.  

 Besides the showcase above there will also be work available by the following artists:-

Tove Bowyer - ceramic figurative sculpture and bronzes by this Danish artist.
Yuriko Hill
- decorative hand built stoneware and porcelain
Ros Ingram - ceramic fish assembled with "found" objects
Jack Kenny - reduction fired domestic stoneware
Rowena Kinsman - soda fired domestic stoneware
Chris Lewis - decorated domestic stoneware
Doris Mitchell - porcelain vases
Katharine Pleydell-Bouverie (1895 - 1985) - see Artists page
Alan Wallwork - organic stoneware forms
Robin Welch - decorative vessel forms
Denise Wren (1891 - 1979) - thrown stoneware by this pioneer potter born in Australia


Mutant ceramic fish by Ros Ingram, available again from 1st December 2000.
