Below is a selection of the Japanese pottery that is currently available at the Harlequin Gallery. To view these hover the mouse over the image to see the maker. We believe that the Harlequin Gallery was the first British gallery to deal in Japanese studio pottery when we started to do so back in 2005. Since then we have tried to show as varied a selection as possible and to keep prices reasonable, as opposed to some of the prices being asked by other galleries these days. JP9 - Koichiro Isezaki (b. 1974). He is the grandson of Yozan Isezaki, one of the founding fathers of 20th century Shigaraki pottery, and is the eldest son of Jun Isezaki, the current Bizen Living National Treasure. Boxed "Black Bizen" vase with incised signature mark on the base. The height is 18.0 cm (7.1 inches). £425

Shinsaku Hamada (b. 1929) Tall vase originally exhibited in a joint exhibition with Tatsuzo Shimaoka at the Liberty Gallery, Liberty's, London. Unmarked. It was acquired by me from one of the ladies that organised the exhibition in Liberty's. The height is 18.3 cm and the maximum external diameter is 9.4 cm (3.7 inches). Price £185
