Reginald Lloyd was born in Hereford in 1926 and lives in Devon. His work is included in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, National Maritime Museum, Tate Britain, Oriel and Exeter Colleges Oxford, the British Embassy Paris, Teignbridge Council, Bruton Art Gallery, Bideford and many private collections nationally and internationally. Exhibitions include Portrait of the Artist at the Tate Gallery, annual showing with the Royal Institute at the Mall Galleries and a major retrospective at the Hereford City Art Gallery in 1996. As well as a successful exhibition at the Harlequin Gallery in 2001 he also showed at the DFN Gallery Broadway New York in Autumn 2000 as well as elsewhere in the UK. In the past he illustrated four books of Ted Hughes's poetry and more recently designed and made two stained glass windows for the millennium - All Hallows Church Tillington, West Sussex and for a private house on Exmoor. His last solo Harlequin Gallery exhibition took place from 8th to 29th June 2003, when a selection of new paintings based on recent trips to Cornwall were on show.
