Teabowls & Yunomis

Japanese calligraphy by Ayane Muroya

6 March to 3 April 2005

This exhibition has been great fun organising but a difficult and time-consuming exercise. It has meant sourcing and then obtaining work from Japan, South Korea and Germany as well as the UK.

Besides the nine featured potters and the calligrapher, Ayane Muroya, there will be a series of miscellaneous teabowls by other British potters as well as Japanese teabowls ranging from Raku to Bizen.

Examples of the work by the featured artists and details about them can be obtained by clicking on their underlined names below. The Private View takes place this Sunday, 6th March, from 2.30 to 5pm and on that day the usual queuing system will operate. If you would like to attend the Private View you will be most welcome.
